Welcome to MIND MKE.

Hi, my name is Ben.

A brief backstory:

I used to run on stress, anxiety, and a lot of caffeine.

I got sick often, had lousy sleep, and was regularly exhausted.

I burned out.

When I started to pick up the pieces again, I realized that I just couldn’t keep operating the same way. This took me on a powerful journey in which I experimented with all sorts of wellbeing practices. Of all of these self-care, mindfulness, and spiritual practices, I will tell you this:

Meditation has been the single most transformative practice in my life.

When I discovered the 1 Giant Mind Being Technique a number of years ago, it changed everything.

It was simple, free of complicated jargon and postures, and didn’t involve any apps or memberships. I could also practice it anywhere, anytime.

I noticed the results right away—less stress, better sleep, and more energy.

And over time, I noticed the benefits at a deeper level. I felt more alive, more whole. I had a greater sense of purpose. I was more tapped into my power—in other words, I felt more capable of responding to challenges, facing the unknown, and loving in creative ways.

I was so excited to share this experience with others that I became a certified meditation teacher and began teaching a number of years ago. 

MIND MKE is my way of combining my teaching of this game-changing meditation practice with my nearly two decades of fostering wellbeing as a social entrepreneur and leader at the intersection of spirituality, community, and social impact.

ABOUT BEN

In addition to being a meditation teacher and wellbeing expert here at MIND MKE, Ben is also a coach, speaker, and the author of The Way Home: Discovering the Hero’s Journey to Wholeness at Midlife.

He an ordained minister for over a decade, previously led On Being’s work supporting religious and spiritual leaders, holds a Master of Divinity degree, and is a certified advanced meditation teacher. As a perpetual student of wisdom traditions, Ben is an expert at adapting ancient personal development practices for modern contexts to help you wake up to your fullest life.

He lives with his wife, three children, and a bunny in Milwaukee and enjoys walking by the lake, trail running, karaoke, and volunteering as a hospice companion.
